Catherine Boxall

Catherine is Director of Music and organist at St Mary’s Church, Cuddington in Worcester Park. She studied music at Bath Spa University where she was in demand as an accompanist, played the organ of Bath Abbey for university concerts, and was musical director for productions of Company and West Side Story.

Her year as organ scholar at St. Mary’s, Beddington gave her valuable experience accompanying and directing the choir, and resulted in an opportunity to tour Germany with the boys choir and to play the organ of Nuremberg Cathedral.

Through her involvement with OneSound, a national Christian youth ensemble, she has played organs at many venues around the country including Birmingham Town Hall and Coventry Central Hall.

After graduating she worked for Sutton Music Service as an administrator and peripatetic teacher. She then spent four years as ensembles co-ordinator, organising concerts, tours and residential trips for the borough’s youth bands and orchestras.

Catherine is now a specialist music teacher at a primary school in Carshalton. She particularly enjoys developing music within the school, including running two choirs and facilitating brass lessons for the children.

Catherine takes the Amici Coro rehearsals and occasionally directs the choir at their cathedral residencies. She is also a member of the London Philharmonic Choir.
